QR Code Generator

What is QR Code Generator?

The QR Code Generator is a free online tool that converts text, URLs, contact information, and more into 2D barcodes called QR codes. You can easily scan them with a smartphone camera to quickly share information. It's widely used for marketing, business cards, product labels, event invitations, and more. No software installation is required—use it instantly in your web browser. Generated QR codes can be downloaded as PNG images and used freely for both personal and commercial purposes. Tool-Flow's QR Code Generator is fast, simple, and completely free.

Notes and Tips

QR codes can be scanned with the default camera app on iOS 11+ and most Android smartphones. However, very long text (over 1000 characters) can make the QR code complex and difficult to scan, so keep it short and concise. For printing, a minimum size of 2cm x 2cm is recommended, and there should be clear contrast between the background and the QR code for smooth scanning. Generated QR codes are permanently valid; if you input a URL, the QR code will not work if the website is deleted or changed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do QR codes expire?

No, generated QR codes are permanently valid. The QR code itself does not expire, but if you create a QR code for a URL and that website is deleted or the address changes, the link will break.

Can I use it for commercial purposes?

Yes, QR codes generated on Tool-Flow can be used freely for both personal and commercial purposes. No license or fee is required.

Can I change the QR code color or design?

The current version only generates standard black-and-white QR codes. We plan to add color and logo insertion features in future updates.

Why won't my QR code scan properly?

If the QR code is too small, print quality is low, or lighting is dim, scanning may be difficult. Keep QR code size above 2cm and maintain clear black-and-white contrast.
